Mariya Cherenko
Mariya Cherenko has received her medical degree in 2005 in Kyiv, Ukraine. After completing her training in family medicine, she did her fellowship in endocrinology in Ukraine. After that she has finished postgraduate education in endocrinology in University hospital “La Timone” in Marseilles, where she has been working in department of endocrine surgery. She has defended PhD theses titled “Mild hypercalcitoninemia in sporadic thyroid disease” in Ukraine in 2012.
Dr. M. Cherenko worked as a senior researcher in Ukrainian Scientifical and Practical Centre of Endocrine Surgery and Transplantation of Endocrine Organ and Tissues, Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine in Kyiv in 2012-2018. Since 2020 till 2022 she worked as assistant professor in department of diabetology in Shupyk National Medical University of healthcare, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Since May 2022 she joined the group of Dr. N.M. Appelman-Dijkstra and will work on the European Registries of Rare Endocine, Bone and Mineral conditions . These registries for rare Endocrine and Bone conditions allow health care providers (HCPs), researchers, and patients to share their knowledge and experience while maximizing their opportunity to participate and use high-quality registries.
