Maaike Roodzant
I finished my Bachelor of Science at the University of Applied Sciences Leiden in 2023. During my final internship at the Hubrecht Institute, I was part of the Bakkers group: a group focused on fundamental research in Cardiac development, disease and regeneration. Here, I discovered my passion for research and realized quickly that I wanted to continue in this area. I now work as an All-round Research Technician for the Islet-group and also play a role in the clinical islet isolation team.
