Rob van den Akker
Research Technician with a broad experience in lab experiments and general lab techniques like DNA/RNA isolation, (RT-)PCR, Western Blot, cell culture, ELISA and In Vivo lab animal experiments. Managing several laboratories, setting up new experimental models, analyzing and presenting scientific data and supporting PhD/master students and interns.
As a part of the CAT team (Cancer And Thrombosis) I try to unravel the interaction between cancer and coagulation, where we currently focus on 4 cancer types: breast, colorectal, glioblastoma and pancreatic cancer.
Besides that I support the D2 laboratory and I am a member of the Einthoven Quality Team.
