Rayna Anijs

Rayna Anijs is a PhD student supervised by Henri Versteeg and Suzanne Cannegieter, since February 1st 2019. After finishing her secondary school in Suriname (South-America), she moved to the Netherlands to continue her education on a higher academic level.
She holds a BSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2012-2015) and a MSc degree in Drug Discovery & Safety (2015-2018), from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Her PhD project focuses on colorectal cancer associated venous thrombosis, both in a fundamental and epidemiological setting.

Furthermore, she is a candidate in the Epidemiologist-B training track at the department of Clinical Epidemiology and is a PhD representative board member of the Netherlands Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis (NVTH) since 2020.
