Qais Akolawala
Qais Akolawala is working in a collaboration of the Precision Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft and the Cancer and Thrombosis team at LUMC. He came from India to the Netherlands to pursue his M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft (2019-2021). His M.Sc thesis was on developing 3D dimensional biomimetic structures for glioblastoma assessment. He is now continuing ahead as a junior researcher within the group of Prof. dr. Henri Versteeg, under the supervision of Dr. Araci Rondon and Dr. Angelo Accardo (TU-Delft). He will be working on a NWO-XS project to expand his study on the efficiency of proton therapy on glioblastoma cells grown within such biomimetic architectures.
