    Emily Martens is a PhD student supervised by Prof. dr. F.A. Klok and Prof. dr. M.V. Huisman, starting from 1 February 2022. She studied Medicine at the University of Groningen and gained clinical experience as medical doctor at the Department of Gastroenterology in The Hague at Haga Ziekenhuis and in Gouda at the Department of Medicine at Groene Hart Ziekenhuis. Her research focuses on the diagnostics of venous thromboembolism and cancer & thrombosis.
