Eline Mlejnek
Drs. E.J. Arends-Mlejnek is an MD who also has an Master degree in Biomedical Sciences. She started as a Resident Internal Medicine at the LUMC in 01-01-2016 which was interrupted for the current PhD project at 01-05-2018. The PhD project at the nephrology department is entitled Humoral autoimmunity in severe systemic lupus erythematosus and focuses on translational studies in lupus nephritis patients. The aim of the project is to develop a novel treatment strategy combining B-cell targeted therapies along with a profound investigation of the immunological aspects of the disease.
