Aniela Skrzypczyk, PhD

At my previous work I focused on stem cell biology. I produced mouse and human iPSCs lines and differentiated them. During my PhD studies at Leipzig University I investigated molecular mechanisms underlying iPSCs differentiation into hepatocyte-like cells. The Bioart project which I was collaborating on was supported by a fellowship from Marie Sklodowska Curie actions. In December 2017 I joined the islet research group where I will work on stem cells differentiation into beta cells of the pancreas as a member of RegMed XB project. Stem cells derived beta cells can be a great alternative source of cells for replacement therapy in the future.
